Game Ten vs. Milwaukee

This game was primarily noteworthy as the victory that officially made Ned Yost the winningest manager in Royals history. Sadly, overall he still has a losing record. But if he can stick around awhile longer, maybe the guys can help him turn that around too.

We got to Brewers’ starter Jimmy Nelson early, which turned out to be a good thing. We had no luck against their bullpen, and even the dreaded HDH combo served up a hair-raising moment or two (particularly Wade Davis loading the bases in the eighth). But all’s well that ends well.

The player of the game was Jeremy Guthrie, who had an outstanding start. Play of the game went to a tough catch by Lorenzo Cain in the seventh. Mike Moustakas came in second with a solid job fielding a weak grounder earlier in the game.
