Game 7 vs. Baltimore

Another early departure. We might have endured, but I was concerned about Amy sitting in the cold and re-aggravating her illness. Besides, Indian food was calling us.

I don’t know if this is an unusually large number of truncated games or if it’s just bothering me more than usual because we don’t have as many tickets this season as we have in the past. Perhaps later in the summer we could pick a game or two at random and get walk-up tickets. Might be fun.

Sadly, it didn’t seem like we were missing much. Ace Pitcher Guthrie stayed home and Self-Destructing Guthrie showed up. It wasn’t the worst game we ever didn’t see, but it would have been an unpleasant experience on and off the field if we’d stayed. If nothing else, it was Dollar Dog night, and the dry cleaners in the cheap seats behind us were already well on the way to drunk and surly.
