Pitchers and catchers reported more than a week ago, and the first Spring Training games are fast upon us. But yesterday I decided I could stand it no longer. A quick check of the price for MLB TV revealed that it cost about half what I thought it would. So we subscribed.
The first thing we noticed was that the subscription included all of last year’s games. So rather than waste the day watching episodes of shows we’d seen a dozen times before, we picked a random Royals game and let it run.
Heaven. Even with the Wonder Dog jabbering in the background, it was wonderful to watch baseball again.
Then something occurred to us. For the games when we sat in the Dream Seats, we might be visible in the background of some of the shots. A little digging uncovered one such game (if I’d kept up the blog last year it would have been easier to find).
And there we are. The shots of left-handed batters often include us in the upper left-hand corner. It’s weird to watch the three of us watching the game.
